AACA New Roots Program enrolling now!

Do you know someone that has a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math, from their native country and cannot get work in their field? 

Our goal is to guide students in getting jobs by June 2015!

Student Requirements:

  • have high intermediate English ability in reading, writing, speaking, listening, and grammar
  • have a college degree from another country in science, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • be interested in returning to work in your profession
  • be motivated and self-disciplined about learning
  • be comfortable using a computer as one part of the course
  • have a PC computer with Internet for online portion of the course (sorry, no Macs or mobile devices)

Accepted students are required to give a $50 deposit that is fully refundable upon successful job or job training placement.

Business Innovation

The program is available to support residents and businesses in Roxbury, Dorchester, and Mattapan. The training will be held in both English and Haitian-Creole, but at different dates same time slots. The Creole session will be held on October 13, 2014 from 6:15-9:15PM. On October 16 the English session will also held from 6:15-9:15PM. Learn some proper training to make your dream business a reality! Girl Scouts

Girl Scouts is an organization that provides young girls with a stable and safe environment where they can discover a strong sense of self, try new things, and foster healthy relationships with memeber of their community. 

The organization will be at the Mattahunt Community Center this Wednesday October 8th. Bring your friends and families to help support the mision of making girls feel confident and strong members of our community.
